Standing in solidarity: the Together Alliance march

On Saturday 28 March, we joined the Together Alliance march against the far right, alongside half a million people, in a collective show of resistance, solidarity and hope.

Sexual violence is not separate from the hatred, scapegoating and inequality that shape the world around us, so we can’t say we want to end rape culture while staying silent about the ideologies that help sustain it.

That is why solidarity matters: not just as a slogan, but as practice.

As a feminist organisation, we know that misogyny is both a cause and a consequence of violence against women and girls. We also know that many far-right ideologies actively fuel that harm. They rely on division, control and dehumanisation, and those forces always put women, girls and marginalised communities at greater risk.

Because we are serious about challenging sexual violence, it was important for us to be there: standing in solidarity, rejecting silence, and confronting the political and cultural forces that allow violence and hate to be normalised.
