24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse
Support Line (remote)
This role is open to female applicants only as the role is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010

What you’ll do
Rape Crisis South London (RCSL) works in partnership with Rape Crisis England and Wales to provide the nation’s 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line. Support Line Volunteers give telephone support, information and signposting to survivors of sexual violence aged 16+ across the country.
We are open 24 hours a day. Shifts are 3 hours long. Volunteers can choose which shift to sign up to, so you can shape the role to match your other commitments.

TIME COMMITMENT
12 x full-day training sessions, followed by one 3-hour shift every week for 12 months minimum.

Skills, qualification (DBS etc)
Volunteers are subject to an enhanced DBS check and must provide two professional references.

We will provide you with Open College Network accredited training, which will equip you to give high-quality support to survivors. Through this training, you can achieve a Level 3 qualification titled “Introduction to working with Female Survivors within a Model of Empowerment”
