RED GODFREY-SAGOO. CEO
Red’s passion as a feminist for equal human rights continues to be the driving force behind her leadership and support of organisations that challenge discrimination, economic disparities, and gender inequalities.
She began her professional career in the UK as an art director in the advertising industry, later transitioning to the third sector in the United States as a disaster services director for the American Red Cross. Her journey then continued with United Way Greater Los Angeles, Special Olympics California. Returning to the UK, Red supported the refugee crisis impacting unaccompanied minors across European refugee camps with Safe Passage and Citizens UK. She is the former CEO of Sophie Hayes Foundation and Inclusive Economies Director at Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Red has served on the boards of: The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), UN Women UK, Anti-Slavery International, National Voices, and Bright Future Cooperative. As well as being the inaugural Chair of the Commonwealth’s 8.7 Network’s Management Committee.
